
A Sokoto State High Court has convicted and sentenced two people to three years imprisonment each for committing an Automated Teller Machine, ATM, fraud.
Justice Mohammed Mohammed found the defendants, Abdulmajeed Habeeblah, and Nana Hauwau Umar, guilty as charge and convicted them after pleading guilty of two count charges bordering on criminal conspiracy and theft.
The convicts were given an option of Twenty Thousand Naira fine each on count one and Thirty Thousand Naira each on count two.

The judge also ordered the convicts to fully return sum of One Hundred and Forty One Thousand Naira stolen from their victim bank account.
The criminals were arraigned by the Sokoto Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC
