Ikorodu Dangote BRT Accident: DPP To Prosecute Driver

The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice for Lagos State, Mr. Moyo Onigbanjo says the state will be prosecuting the DANGOTE driver who drove a cement truck that colluded with a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) on Tuesday, August 27 in Ikorodu today.

According to the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency, LASTMA, the fully loaded Dangote Cement truck, owned by billionaire businessman, Aliko Dangote, reportedly skidded off the main carriageway to collide with the bus on a dedicated lane.

The accident which happened at Asolo along Ikorodu road left three people dead and fifty eight others sustained different degree of injuries.

In a statement signed by the Director Public Affairs of the Ministry, Kayode Oyekanmi, the matter which was instituted by the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, will be heard at Justice Sherifat Solebo’s court.
