Lagos Set To Host Justice Reform Summit

The Lagos State Ministry of Justice has announced that it will be hosting a two-day Justice Reform Summit. Themed “Enhancing the Administration of Justice for Economic Growth, Investment Protection And Security In Lagos State,”

The Summit will be held on May 27th and 28th, 2024 at the Marriott Hotel, G.R.A. Ikeja, Lagos.

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, will be the chief host, with the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, as the Chairman and the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi SAN, as Special Guest of Honour.

The Lagos State Government has been recognized as a pathfinder for Justice reform in Nigeria due to its innovative achievements. However, as the economic nerve centre of Nigeria, there are still challenges that need to be addressed.

The Summit will explore diverse perspectives towards effective and efficient administration of justice for economic growth, security, governance, and investment protection in Lagos State and Nigeria. This is in line with the THEMES Plus Agenda of the Governor Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

In preparation for the Summit, there will be a press conference by the Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Mr. Lawal Pedro, SAN, where he will present highlights of the summit.

The Ministry has also created an avenue for stakeholders and members of the public to express their views, observations, and recommendations for the reform. through these platforms;
