
A driver, Adeshina Yahaya, and one Olalekan Odulami, have been arraigned before a Tinubu Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing 21 cartons of substandard drugs.
The Police arraigned the accused on a two-count charge of stealing and possession of substandard drugs.
They, however, pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Samuel Ishola, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on February 22 at about 12:00 a.m. at Enu-Owa Street, Lagos Island.
“The police on night patrol saw the defendants at about midnight in a bus with registration number LSD 587 X2 and stopped them.

“The police team found 21 cartons of varieties of substandard drugs suspected to be stolen in the vehicle”
The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Sections 158 and 329 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Magistrate, Mr A.A. Paul, granted the defendants bail of N100,000 each with one surety each in like sum.
The matter was adjourned till April 14 for hearing.
