
Journalists, covering Court proceedings, in Lagos State, have been charged to see objectivity and thorough investigation of stories, as a virtue.
The State Chief Judge, Justice Kazeem Alogba, gave the charge, while hosting members of the National Association of Judicial Correspondent, NAJUC, in his office, at Ikeja High Court.
He advised reporters to be upright in discharging their duties, while covering Court proceedings.

“The journalists, I think have a duty to be objective in their reportage, they must be objective and do a proper investigation. A situation whereby they are doing the bidding of their paymaster will impinge on the integrity of their profession.”

Justice Alogba, who noted that members of the bench are publicity shy, however promised that his administration would not be hostile to the press.
He enjoined the reporters to always relate with the Chief Registrar whenever they are in need of assistance, to get their job done.
